Yesterday I caught up with Seth Rogen and Will Reiser to hear about their upcoming comedy-drama 50/50 which is loosely based on Reiser’s life. He was diagnosed with cancer six years ago when he and Rogen were working together on Da Ali G Show. Though Rogen admits not all life events make for a movie, this story was film worthy and I definitely agree.
The two were worried about the audience’s reaction to their film when screening 50/50 to over 250 cancer survivors and patients at the LIVESTRONG foundation. But there was no need to be concerned as they received a standing ovation and an enormous amount of appreciation from the viewers.
Turns out laughter truly is the best medicine!
